I have sinned. My prayer request is selfish. Other people ask for prayers for people who have cancer or are dying. I am str8 but I have homosexual feelings. I guess you could say I am bi. I am engaged to a lovely woman. I love her with all my heart. I am trying to not look at that stuff. I refuse to except these feelings. I pray for myself, but I need help. I would be grateful for any help that I could receive. Thank you

CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I am praying that God will be with you and you will be able to resist temptation. It's alright to ask prayer requests for yourself, we all struggle in different areas at different times.

No we haven't yet, but we are planning on it. I have never told her. I don't think I can bring myself to ever telling her. It has to do with the fear of her leaving me. I don't do things with other men. It's sort of a porn thing. I am very physically attracted to women, and I love her with all my heart. I am going to do an online selfhelp thing, and also my goal is to go 40 days with no touching yourself, and no pornography. Thanks for your helpmamaneenie said:

Praying for you needhelp24. I would also strongly advise you to not get married until you sort this issue out. Postponing an engagment is not a bad thing. The first year of marriage is often a hard one for any couple, but when you are having other struggles as well, it will just add to the stress. Counseling is also a good step to take as well. Do you have a pastor or someone in your church that could talk with you and help you with this? Perhaps an accountability group would be a good idea. Also in the Men's Forum there is a Porn Addiction Support Group. You don't have to go through this alone. Seek help from others who have been there and can help you be victorious over this addiction before it takes over your life.
