I HAVE A HEARING AID SINCE I WAS A LITTLE GIRL AND EVERYBODY ALWAYS MAKE FUN OF ME ABOUT IT AND I HATE IT SO MUCH!!!!!!!!  WHEN I WAS LITTLE, I USED TO PUT MY HEARING AID IN A CEREAL BOX CUZ I HATE TO WEAR IT. I ALWAYS PRAY FOR MY EARS TO HEAL FOR A LONG LONG LONG TIME, BUT GOD HAVEN'T DONE IT. IT MAKE ME MAD A LOT AND WANT ME TO STOP PRAYING. LAST YEAR, I QUIT PRAYING CUZ I GOT MAD AT GOD FOR NOT HEALING MY EARS ABOUT LONG TIME AGO CUZ I GOT JEALOUS CUZ I SAW OTHER PEOPLE GOT HEALED, BUT I DIDN'T SO THAT WHY I GOT MAD AND STUFF. SO I ASKED HIM TO FORGIVE ME. AND THIS YEAR, I STARTED TO PRAY AND THEN PEOPLE STARTED TO MAKE FUN OF ME AGAIN SO NOW I QUIT PRAYING. SO WHAT ARE YOU GUYS GOING TO DO TO MAKE ME HAPPY AND STUFF?????????

Hi JesusFreak!

I am sorry to hear of your troubles. Other people can certainly be mean about things we have no control over. I wish I could tell you why God hasn't healed your ears, but I can't. All I can tell you is that God loves you very much, JF, and that HE is in control. Only He knows the reason. Maybe He wants you to be an example for others. To show others love even though they are mean to you. Or maybe to show others that even though you wear a hearing aid, you are no different from any other teenage girl. You have the same dreams, the same hopes, the same worries, as any other girl would.

And I know it is hard to pray sometimes when we just don't feel like God hears us. But you know what? He does. Sometimes the only prayer we can pray is "Your will be done." And it will be, in His own time. But in order to know His will, you have to be communicating with Him. So please don't stop praying. I will pray for you too!

Dear Father, I lift JesusFreak up to you tonight Lord. She is hurting and needs your help. Please heal her ears so that she will be able to hear without the need of a hearing aid. But Lord, help her to also see you working in her life. Help her to stay close to you so that you can guide and direct her in the wonderful plans that you have for her life, Lord. Please help to heal her pain from the hurtful things others say about her. Help these people to see how much their words hurt her. Lord, help give JF the strength needed to forgive these that hurt her Lord. Help her to show them your love and mercy. I just ask that you be close to her and help her to feel your presence in her life. In Your precious name, Amen.

That is one thing I have struggled with myself, is whether God is actually hearing our prayers or not (especially when you don't feel or see much happening). Then I remember hearing the verse in the Bible that we should never give up praying.

God is HUGE and I guess we have no rite ourselves to think we know better than Him. He has a plan, if we only just keep praying. That's what I have to keep telling myself sometimes. God has a plan, God has a plan!

I say Amen to wvmtnkid's prayer. Hang in there... In two years people at school will actually be heapppps more mature than they are now. Trust me on that, I went through it not many years ago.

God promises us many things in His Word, and He does promise you will be healed... Revelation 21:4 "And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away."

But, it will be in His time not ours. Trust in Him and love Him.
Romans 8:28 "And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose."

I'm sorry that people make fun of you, but you are a child of God,
don't ever forget that. He has a plan for you and you just have to keep your faith in Him.

You have no idea what is on God's mind or what He is thinking. You don't know his plans. What you can do is believe that God is good and believe in the goodness of God no matter what the circumstances are.
Getting mad at God or questioning him is not going to get you anywhere. Just believe that God's plan is good even when you don't understand what is going on.
This is much easier said than done.

What I mean is tell me about the time you accepted Jesus as your personal Saviour. That is not a thing you are born with, it is a thing you make a conscious decision to do. Once you have done that you make a deciscion to grow spiritually and learn more about Jesus and what is expected of you as a Christian and how you are expected to act and react to His commands and to life's circumstances.

Everyone is not healed here on this earth. PAUL was not healed. It was NOT because God did not hear his prayer. God DID hear his prayer and say NO. Paul did not get angry with God and say, "OK then, I am not talking to you anymore." No he went on to do the job God gave him to do, which, for one thing was to write nearly two thirds of the new Testament, under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit.

Do you not think people made fun of Paul because of this? The man was nearly blind and small of ststure. He faced plenty of ridicule and scorn and spent a large part of his life LOCKED UP because of it.

Have you suffered more?

Jesus was constantly laughed at and mocked and scorned and ridiculed. He was crucified and beaten and spit upon and hung naked on a cross with nails through His wrists and tormented. They laughed and mocked and scorned Him when He cried out to God?

Are you better than Paul or Jesus? Are you too good to suffer? Are you immune from the requirement to trust God and follow Jesus?

As a child I had freckles and was laughed at an made fun of ALL THE WAY through school. I was mocked and belittled and called ugly and "Freckle Face". I was discriminated against in everyway. I was the last to be chosen by the snobs when they chose their sports team, because they did not want the "poor freckled face kid" on their team. Although the record shows I was the better athelete of them all.

Then when I excelled academically, I was once again subject to their ridicule and scorn and called names I cannot repeat here.

I could give you an example of how I am treated today, by some so called Christians, that would curl your hair, but I won't even go into that.

So I say to you, be grateful and happy and GLAD that you have a hearing aid. That in itself is a gift from God. Focus on Jesus and what He wants of you, rather than what some mean spirited people have to say. have to say. They are the ones who have hurt your feelings so why take it out on God?God made you. You are a work in progress. He is NOT through with you yet. Put yourself in His hands and REST in His arms and His LOVE. You need to remember that there is NO POWER in existence that is not subject to God. He is ALWAYS in charge and He ALWAYS knows what is best. And He will heal you in HIS time.

So the question is, NOT what I am going to do yo make you happy. The Question is what are YOU going to do to make God happy, and thus your ownself?

You HAVE my sympathy and empathy and prayers, but that alone is not going to make you happy. YOU alone have the power to do that and the way you do it is by submitting your will to God.

God will not give you more than you can bear. He has a plan for you and as soon as you accept yourself the way He made you and love yourself as He loves you then you will understand that the people making fun of you are the ones that cannot hear, they cannot hear the words of God and the teachings of Jesus because they are too far into themselves to hear the truth, they cannot hear what wonderful things await us in Heaven. You can choose to listen to what God is saying to you or you can be one of them and close your ears. Ask God to speak to you, ask God to tell you what He wants you to do, if you really open your heart to Him then you will hear Him. And maybe it really is a blessing in disguise, you don't have to put up with the racket of someone playing their music too loud and your neighbors arguing and coming and going all hours of the night. If we are in the end times you will not have to hear all the people and children screaming in pain and terror and hunger and for the loss of their loved ones, and for all the trials we will be going through before Jesus' Millenial Reign. Some things are really a blessing in disguise.

but why God haven't heal my ears?? I still don't understand why.   I asked my dad why He hasn't heal it or anything. All he told me, I just had to have patience and try to go to next step and go next step and go on and on, but what does he mean by going to next step to another to God???????  I been waiting for God to heal my ears since I was a little girl and look what He gave me. nothing.

I had a weird dream last night. I just didn't understand it though. It was so dark and I falling in a deep, deep hole and there was no ground to stop. I just keep falling and falling. And then I heard a voice calling my name and it was Jesus. And He told me to grap his hand and I did and then He just look at me and shake his head and let go of my hand and made me fall again. I woke up from that dream and I was just like "what in the world was that and why did He do that to me?" And I was thinking in my head, "doesn't He love me?"

Yes, Jesus does love you! Now, I don't claim to understand dreams but maybe the dream just had to do with your own feelings about Jesus right now and nothing to do with how Jesus feels about you. Sometimes things get all out of whack in our sub-conscious and it causes us to dream all sorts of things. I wouldn't dwell too much on it though, or it will drive you crazy. Just go back and read what others have written for you here to help remind yourself of the support you have here and that Jesus does love you. We don't know why he hasn't healed your ears, but we accept that he is in control and there is a purpose for everything under heaven.
