Pray for Mary

Hey guys, I was online earlier tonight, and I get an instant message on my AIM name. This girl named Mary is 18 years old. As a child she was beaten by her mom, her brother and her grandma until 8th grade. A short time later, Mary began cutting herself, burning herself, doing drugs, drinking alcohol and feeling worthless. Please pray for Mary that God can heal her of all of this. It is so much for her to handle, and I just pray that she can have the strength to get passed this and lead a life away from the cutting and the feeling of worthlessness and that she will lead a life dedicated to the Lord, and allow Him to show her worthiness and love.

Zach, I am praying for Mary right now. God is so wonderful that He has put you in her life to show her real love. I work with youth at church and I am close to a girl that is cutting. She has similar things in her past as Mary's and I found, and am finding, that just really loving and giving positive words and encouraging words and a lot of positive touch has helped a lot with this girl. I also gave her the second chapter of a Purpose Driven Life to read and that too also helped her to look at herself through God's eyes. Praying that Mary would know of her worth in Jesus' eyes.

We want so much Lord that she could know Your tender love and know in her heart and mind how very very much You care about her, how highly You regard her, how precious she is to You. I pray, send Your workers into her life who will encourage her and give her loving truth in the way that was described in another prayer above. I pray she will respond to this love with faith towards you. I pray for the people already in her life, give them words of love, give them Your heart for her. In Jesus' name amen.
