He's a little boy in 4th grade who was in my daughter's class a few years ago. I also used to see him at the ball park all the time. My son is about four years older, but they played at the same fields.
I'm not sure why, really, but I always felt close to Jordan and his family. There was just some sort of natural (Supernatural?) bond there from the start. Just a great kid and a great mom and dad. I haven't seen them in a while...maybe a year...and oddly enough, was wondering about them just a few days ago.
Well, I ran into his Mom a little while ago and found out he's had two brain surgeries due to a malignant brain tumor. He just started a round of chemo which he will have to do for another year.
This kinda shook me up. Please pray for him and his family. I can't imagine the stress on his parents. If you have children, you can understand that. They are good Christian folk.
