We sincerely can pray in hope for Healing of an individual as long as he/she has life. Unless God reveals not to pray as He wishes to take His Child to His heavenly abode. There are God-Servants who have tried praying even after the death of the person hoping that God would raise him/her from the dead. Sometimes God raised them from the dead and sometimes God did not.

Hope that helps in anyway.

JMO, Lord Bless you,
Vincent :)

I'm confused about whether we should pray for healing or just ask for God's will to be done.Maybe God's will is not to heal someone.Maybe it is their time to go.I know Jesus went around healing and raising people from the dead, but how does that apply to today?

You should do both. Pray for healing, but also pray that God's will be done. It's kind of like how Jesus prayed the night he was arrested - He prayed that if possible He wouldn't have to go through with it, but that God's will would be done, even if it didn't match Jesus' request. So pray for healing, but be willing to accept God's will even if it means a different kind of healing than what you wanted or even something completely different. Basically, ask God for stuff but don't tell Him what to do as if your will and desires are better or more important than His.
