Pray for growth

I am not one to ask for prayer very often. I usually believe
God will and He usually does answer my prayers. But today, I am asking for your prayers. I have only been saved for 7 years after 46 years of desolation and despair.
I need your prayers that God would change a raggedy, tattered, hurt, blind, unknowing, heart of dead wood, to a heart of understanding, love, compassion, and a heart that sees when it is lashing out or hurting others after being hurt or having a misguided view of things happening around me. That the I in me is replaced with Christ and His ways. That the selfish, misguided fool is crushed under foot and a new man is revealed by the removal of the scales that cover my eyes and the stripping away of the ungodly feelings of jealosy, greed, envy, and all other forms of avarice and misdirection are totally extinguished.

Hey man, I kind of railed on you in another topic. As a benediction to it though I will say that I agree with you. You did hit a nerve though.

Growth. You are seeking to move forward so I believe you are on the right track. Salvation is a process over lifetime. God will make you and mold you in His time. Sometimes He puts you through things you would rather not go through, He's taking out you and filling you up with Himself. Don't sweat it. Love God and the journey you have begun with Him. That's what it's all about.
