You may not see headlines about it anymore. But the wildfires across Canada have not stopped. In the last two weeks, over 1,000 wildfires have blazed across Canada — a record number. Hundreds of homes were destroyed this summer. With many Canadians displaced, it’s a key time to pray for the people — many of whom are also spiritually homeless. Christian influence in Canada is declining. Over one hundred years ago, Evangelicals made up 25% of the population. Now, that number is only 7%. Today, one in three Canadians claim no religion. They don’t know that Christ wants to be their spiritual safe-haven! Jesus promises, “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” (Matt. 11:28) May Canadians look towards their Heavenly Home by finding rest in Christ.​
