I love how the day starts out cool here in the desert and then gradually warms up.
It was such a beautiful day yesterday. It is often nice here and may have gone unnoticed except for one very interesting event.
I went to the eye doctor and had my eyes checked. I hadn't been since August of 2010. The optomitrist told me that my eyes improved three whole prescriptions in both eyes.
Really?
Now what are the possibilities? It could be a miracle.
No, he said, it could be you went to an incompetent person last time you had your eyes checked.
Maybe I was retaining water or my eyes were tired or I couldn't understand or she couldn't hear or she wrote it down wrong. Wouldn't I have noticed I couldn't see? It seems pretty hard for me to believe I've spent the last 2 and half years not seeing right. I just noticed about a month ago that I started having headaches and thought it might be time to get my eyes checked again.
Three whole prescriptions? Come on doc?
So he showed me what my new prescription would look like and then clicked back three times to my old prescription. What a difference!
So I went back home and read in my diary to see when the headaches started and what it said. I found a prayer I had written in early December that said, "Heal us from all our infirmities."
