  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I was supposed to have some fasting lab work done today, so got up and dressed. About half way into town I realized that I had eaten a piece of toast, so coulnd't do the blood work. I am not a Seventh Day Adventist, but they were having church this morning, so I went in. It was very quiet and slow, but it gave me something to do for an hour and a half. I did get one confirmation though. I had been thinking for several days about the Children of Israel in the Bible and how when they were wandering in the desert, God gave them manna a day at a time to sustain them. I had decided that all I should expect from God would be one day at a time "manna" to sustain me through my sorrow because of the loss of my husband a few weeks ago. As it turned out, at the church they did a little story for the small children, and it was about.......you guessed it....
how God sustained the children of Israel one day at a time with manna from heaven. I felt that God had renewed His promise to take care of me one day at a time. I praise Him for that. Rejoice with me.
