Praise God for his infinite mercy.
If he should mark iniquity, who shall stand?
The flames were upon me. I was about to be swallowed up into the bottomless pit.
But the Lord, according to his abundant mercy, rescued me from such an impending doom; a doom I so earnestly deserved.
I thus state my case clearly: I am going to heaven because of the abundant mercy of God, made available by sacrifice of Jesus Christ, our LORD.
The blood of Jesus is my ticket into heaven; not my filthy-rags righteousness.
Why am I going to heaven?
Because Jesus died for sinners.
He did not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentence.
I'm a sinner!
All they that are whole do not need the physician, but they that are sick.
I'm sick!
God chose the foolish things of the world, the base, the despised.
I am foolish! I am base! I am despised!
None of those that are bidden shall taste of his supper, except the blind, the halt, and the maimed.
Lord, I am blind, I am halt, I am maimed!
He sat down with publicans and sinners. He let the woman taken in adultery walk free. He came that we might have life and have it more abundantly.
Lord gather us into your marvellous light, into your everlasting kingdom.
The kingdoms of this world shall pass away, but your kingdom is forever and ever. Amen.
