His mercy endures forever!
Praise the Lord God Almighty! Who was and is and is to come!
It just hit me anew that Our God came down to Earth and tabernacled with us. How amazing is that? Jesus, our Lord and Saviour came down to Earth to do what we could not do.
He emptied Himself and instead of being glorified in Heaven, He lived among us, put up with our ignorance. He actually lived among us! The one worthy of all praìse actually came, not in splendour, but as a man. Spoke kind words and Truth to those who were seen as the most lowly. He showed mercy to those who others condemned. He asked for forgiveness for those who crucified Him and stood watching the humiliating death sentence that He endured... for us.
He rose, showed Himself to the women. Forgave Peter who pretended not to know Him. He healed people. He felt compassion for that widow.
Our God is the living God. King of Kings. Lord of Lords. Yet He came to be the man of Sorrows in Isaiah.
Prophecies spoken hundreds of years before fulfilled, showing us how His promises remain.
What an awesome God have we. Actually coming here to do for us what we could not do. To reconcile us to Him.
I pray that my Awe of Him never fades and that we all deepen in our walk with Him. He is faithful, may we grow in faithfulness as we grow in Him
