I have a praise report. God answered this prayer so unexpectedly and much quicker than i expected.
This afternoon, there was a bit of a storm with really gusty, strong winds just blowing the trees around. Well soon after the windy-ness started, our power went out. As a matter of fact, it had effected the entire area: stores, street lights, etc. And approximately 20,000 customers were without power.
The power company could not give an estimate because the damage was more complicated than they first though. Apparently a huge tree had fallen on some power lines. It didn't look promising.
I went to the store before it got dark and the store was open, but was on low lighting from a generator and was not selling anything refrigerated or frozen. When i got home, the power was still out, and neighbors were congregating in the halls, because it was the only place there was light. by golly, i met some neighbors i had never met before, and a woman from Russia with a lovely accent and an equally lovely smile.
Well just as i'm finding a plug in the hall to charge mt phone (like everyone else was doing) i see out of the corner of my eye, a man wobbling really badly, and the next thing i knew, he was flat on the floor, out cold, in a heap. So i go down there and ask him if he's ok....he was kinda woozy and could barely speak....call 911 and they come and take him to the hospital.
Soooooo my phone is charged, i come back upstairs, and it's getting dark. And no lights. I commences to use candlelight, call my daughter to ask her to pray again.....and lo and behold, the lights come back on!!!!
Dash is happy, cuz he can "bask" again. The lights went out this afternoon just as he was basking n' havin' a good ol' time, how rude.
And i can get some real groceries tomorrow, cuz my fridge is workin' again!!! Wheeeee!
Just wanna praise our GOOD God!!!! He is a DELIGHTFUL God!!!!
Thank You Father!!! In Jesus name, amen. (((hug)))
