I have a computer of my own again (or at least I will when the PC and monitor arrive in the mail).
My sister was able to find a refurbished PC mostly equivalent to this one but better in some ways and kind of worse in others (1.7 gigahertz, 512 MB SDRAM memory, 80 GB hard drive, better in that it has a DVD-RW drive, worse in that it is Compaq using an Athlon chipset so it is absolutely impossible to upgrade) for $488 dollars in an auction online. The monitor, in the same auction, only cost $30 because no one else posted a high enough bid. It is comparable to the one I'm using here from the description, which makes it a real bargain (as this one cost around $200).
I now want find a good set of speakers cheap (LOL, otherwise the DVD drive will be worthless ~.^ ). Unfortunately, I will paying for the second phone line so I can access the Internet from my computer. So that means that I will either have to borrow this one to go online still, or that I will have to pay a phone bill.
I'm thinking of using this one to go online until June because there is something I really want to save my money for in April (check out the RPGs and anime club and the announcement I am posting there after I finish this post ~.^)
