Tonight I was thinking about my day and very bothered about something. I couldn't figure out why I was so bothered, and I hoped the Lord would show me why. I didn't even really verbally ask the Lord, it was more a hope in my heart.
And guess what? As I was sitting there, a thought popped into my head that is so true, it has brought me immediate relief from my bafflement! This is the wonderful Counselor, the Holy Spirit! Praise God!
I had been wondering why the behavior of a particular person bothers me so much. And the Holy Spirit revealed that I am bothered by this person's deception. This person wants to look bigger and more important than he is. But the truth is that he is very small and immature. I got an impression that the Lord is saying ... "This is how this person is. His actions reveal his character. Do not be fooled by his game. His values are twisted. Just laugh and be as kind as possible. There is no need to take him as seriously as you have been."
What a relief!
