Prague Oklahoma school district halts daily prayer broadcasts; State Superintendent vows to fight

State Superintendent Ryan Walters took to social media voicing his opinion on Prague Public School District’s decision to stop daily prayer broadcasts.

“We’re going to continue to fight for religious liberty and religious freedom here in the state of Oklahoma,” said Walters.

“We have to take a stand for out students’ freedom of religion, their freedom to express their religious beliefs,” said Walters.

Foisting participation of prayer is not a freedom that protected under the Big one....is it? "You are free to force other people to participate in your religion".

I am almost positive it doesn't read like that.

A genuinely student-led Bible study is protected, I think. A prayer broadcast over the intercom is going to be unconstitutional. If the guidance counselor or principal is bringing in folks who hand out Bibles (https://kfor.com/news/local/morning...udies-parent-says-school-is-pushing-religion/) -- yeesh, they're trying to get as close to that constitutional line as they possibly can.
