I wouldn't say it's completely wasted if it projects the song lyrics for everyone to follow.Wisdom's Child said:I only have one problem with technology like powerpoint.
It takes prior preparation.
Honestly about half the time, I will step into the pulpit to give a sermon, only to be led spiritually into another topic completely. Those are usually my best sermons, and what notes that I were holding end up crumpled on the floor.
Technology like powerpoint is completely wasted when that happens.
Praying4Peace said:Not a fan. It just doesn't fit what I'm used to and I get uncomfortable at my in-laws church who does use powerpoint. It feels like they use this set up to feed info to the congregation. It doesn't feel like worship, but rather putting ideas in the minds of the people. It's weird.

Wow. My laptop is a Toshiba Satellite. 30 gig (which was HUGE at the time). I've had it for over 6 years, use it all day every day, and have NEVER done ANYTHING to it. I count myself lucky!emergentpdx said:FWIW, if a laptop lasts 2.5 years, it isn't a lemon. I would expect to replace a laptop every two to three years.![]()
