• CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Psalms 46:1-3 ESV To the choirmaster. Of the Sons of Korah. According to Alamoth. A Song. God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. 2 Therefore we will not fear though the earth gives way, though the mountains be moved into the heart of the sea, 3 though its waters roar and foam, though the mountains tremble at its swelling. Selah

Imagine if we were as willing to get out of God's way, and allow Him to use us in our strengths, as we sometimes do in our weakness. Imagine the power. The problem is that we are so sure how to use them ourselves. We don't think we need God's help. So we breeze through the task at hand, doing a good job, never knowing how much better we could have been if we would have stepped aside and let God use us.

Jesus said it, yet we can think it was not intended for us, but what if it was? Matthew 22:29 ESV But Jesus answered them, "You are wrong, because you know neither the Scriptures nor the power of God.
What power is in God that we may use, what has Jesus left us? You know the power of God is real and very much here for us, but in a way its like a light switch, its there, we just have not turned it on. Faith, the real Faith Jesus spoke of is key to this understanding, not a faith based on men and wisdom of men. Real Faith is key and trusting in it is everything. Yet many fail this real Faith, rather they have a belief-faith system based on human wisdom, a flesh faith to cover the lacking of real Faith. How can you believe, when you receive glory from one another and do not seek the glory that comes from the only God?
Brothers and sister, we are called to be powerful people in Christ, we are called to reflect all that Christ was and is. Seek glory from God, not men, seek Love from God, not men, seek power for God, not men. Seek and you will find, this line Jesus spoke is powerful and truthful. Turn on the light switch of Faith, power up in Real Faith and trust in Him.

Why do we just believe in things that we can understand, is it we do not trust God ? Have we walked away from the only one that gives light, in order to live a life we can understand. Why did Jesus say the things He said, yet we fail to follow it, why did Jesus do what He did, yet we fail to live it, is it we are lost in our own fear, fear of the unknown. What power is in fear? What power is in unfaithfulness? What power is in unbelief?

We are called to be a people of power, Godly strenght, a shining light in a dark place. Lift your eyes up to the Lord, raise your hearts before Him and ask Him to fill it with His power and Love. Do not live in fear of the evil one, for we are brothers and sisters in the one who lives forever, we share the same Father and His love for us is endless.

To speak of God as though he is over there, or unsure if He is real, is not living in faith. We who know our Father, know He is in us always working in us to bring us the best life has to give even if life seems hard. Our Father is not a God of the unsure, He is a Father that gives abundantly to those children that share that love with others. Yes brothers and sisters we are adopted into a house of power, a house of love, let us not live in that house as though we are new adopted children afraid to move feely. No brother and sisters, let us thank our new Father for His love toward us and live in power and the freedom that He calls us to live in. Be all you can be in Him and let His light shine in this dark world we live.

To move in power we need to exercise faith.

Rom 10:17 So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God.

Rom 12:3 For I say, through the grace given to me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God has dealt to every man the measure of faith.

1Cor 4:7 For who makes you to differ from another? What have you that you did not receive? Now if you did receive it, why do you glory, as if you had not received it?

1Cor 12:9 To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit.

Gal 2:20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ lives in me: and the life which I

now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.

Gal 5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, long-suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith.

Eph 2:8 For by grace are you saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God.

Eph 2:10 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God has before

ordained that we should walk in them.

Phil 2:13 For it is God who is at work you to make you willing and able to obey His purposes.

Heb 12:2 Looking to Jesus the author and finisher of our faith.

Heb 13:21 The God of peace make you perfect in every good work to do His will, working in you that which is well-pleasing in His sight through Jesus Christ.

2Pet 1:1 Simon Peter,…..to them that have obtained like precious faith with us through the righteousness of God and our Saviour Jesus Christ.

2Pet 1:3 According as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, throug the knowledge of Him that has called us to knowledge and virtue.

Jude 20 But you, my loved ones, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit.

Jude 24 Now to Him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy. (Heb 11:6)
