POTC Sequel, The Resurrection

A good many years ago now, moviegoers were informed of a sequel to Mel Gibson's highest grossing R-rated film ever made, The Passion of the Christ. As late as last year I see, Mel still maintains this one, The Resurrection is still in the works. Or is that; one's lifetime work? Maybe, an upcoming documentary on the insurmountable production of it, please, prove me wrong Mel.
