Postcard Collecting

I hope it's okay to post about this here. First off I have good news. I got married on March 1st. I met my husband at church. He plays the guitar and was in charge of the music ministry.

Anyhow my husband and son are working on a project together. They are collecting postcards from around the world. My son has actually been doing this since 2002. I was showing my husband the box of postcards that my son has collected over the years and he thought it was neat and would like to get in on it with him. He is going to buy a map to put on the wall and then when they receive postcards they are going to mark where they have come from.

My husband is my son's stepdad and I'm really glad that he's interested in doing something like this with him. My son really hasn't had many positive male role models in his life so I think this will be a good thing for them to do together.

If anyone would be willing to send a postcard to them I would appreciate it. If you could write a little message about your state on the card that would be great. Such as what your state flower or bird is or what your state is well known for. I live in Massachusetts so I would probably put taxes. Congratulations on getting married! I think its wonderful what your husband is doing with your son. I can send him a postcard of Ireland if you are interested

A good website for postcard trading and collecting...if your son and husband are interested in getting lots of postcards and trading postcards is a website called "postcrossing.com" Thats where I got a lot of my postcards from, through trades. Just a suggestion Maybe if you posted a message there, they might help you out.

congrats on your wedding, I got engaged in January and I'm very exited (even though things are a little rough right now, we have faith in the lord that he will make it better so we can get married soon)

I loved the idea of the map on the wall, i think its a very good project for them to do together.

When i was little I used to have a collection of postards, so every trip i made i used to buy a postcard. I didn't travel much, but with the help of my family and friends i collected a few.

send me the address and i will send you my post cards. I'm gald i didn't throw them away and someone is able to use them!!

i have postcards from Colombia, venezuela, aruba... mmmhhh i can't remember any more.. but i do have an album full of them!

Alexita congratulations to you as well. Keep your faith in God and he will help you. We have been through so much the last couple of months but God had been with us every step of the way. Never lose your faith.
