Demon Hunter sounds like Mallcore/New/Nu Metal. I'm not real sure, but I want to say Norma Jean may be Black Metal (Black metal screams, Death Metal growls. There is a difference, but just becase a band screams or growls doesn't always make them Black or Death Metal. They could be Mallcore too). Norma Jean is better than Demon Hunter in my opinion though.

I've heard of Helloween. Never really got into them.

And I never said there was anything wrong with not being my age .

I don't like Nu Metal or any of the paticularly heavy stuff, just power metal, early heavy metal and some industrial metal, then I'm mainly into Rock. Doesn't Black metal have to be negative?

I don't like Nu Metal or any of the paticularly heavy stuff, just power metal, early heavy metal and some industrial metal, then I'm mainly into Rock. Doesn't Black metal have to be negative.

Mallcore (Nu Metal) is basically radio metal. It isn't as hard as some people like to believe. When compared to Black Metal bands such as Emperor and Bathory, Nu Metal bands look like the freaking Spice Girls (except not as horrible). The real heavy stuff is Black and Death Metal. And no, Black Metal doesn't have to be negative. You can sing about God, Christ, flowers, and sunshine in Black Metal if you wanted to (though I'm pretty sure many fans won't go for that). There was one Black Metal band that said it best. I beilieve it was Mastodon, but I'm really not all that sure. Whoever it was, they said that singing about negativity, the devil, etc fits that style of music a lot more than singing about God, Christ, sunshine and flowers. Note, not all Black Metal bands are Satanic, though they may have songs that sound like it. Those particular bands are not serious about Satanism. They just do it because it fits the music more than singing about God (in a non negative way) would. However, there are some Black Metal bands that are Satanists. I'd be lying if I said there weren't. But just because they are, doesn't mean everyone in the genre are Satanic. That would be equivalent to saying all black people are criminals because you see a lot of them in the news doing illegal deeds. And that is not true because my supervisor at one of my jobs is a black man and a good man. Honest, honorable, all of that.

Yeah I just thought that Black metal was all negative as I've heard loads of people say if it's positive it's not metal and that's how white metal got its name.
