Quite the contrary, I wasn't being rude at all. It's just that emotions are not translated well online. I'm apologize if it seemed as though I was being rude. That was not my intention at all.

Well, threads die. It happens. Make a new thread about something else like "cute stuff your pets do" or "if could only read one book for the rest of your life...". Give it a theme, so it's not just a random thread.

There is no need to give up. All that you need to do is realise that everyone here is pretty much wrapped up in their own life, and that the majority of that life is conducted away from the PC. If they don't reply to a message that is not because they don't like you, or don't want you here; it is because their cat is ill, or their child just got caught fighting at school, or their house is about to get repossessed. Or maybe they are on holiday, or getting married or something.

It isn't about you, in other words, it is about them. 99.9% of the world is not about 'us'; it is about 'them'. There is no reason whatever to take any of it personally.

You can choose to post wherever you want to, and have no obligation to me or anyone else to answer what we write. And similarly, some posts of yours will get replies, some won't. I am afraid that is just how it works. Stick around; I am sure it will get easier in time.

Which, in case anyone still doesn't have the picture, is not about the thread, but about the person writing it, who then says this:

This is a cry for help.

Headsup therefore. We have a seriously depressed young lady here, who needs a bit of support because life is just a shade too heavy for her at present.

This very, very innocent post can be read differently by someone who is depressed. To such a person it says, 'go ahead; we all have to die sometime, so it might as well be now.'

I know that is not how you meant it, but K may not be able to see that. She may well feel as if she is drowning, and the answer to that is always, 'Keep swimming, you can do it.'
