  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Post your workout!

There's a few chest, leg and tricep exercises I want to work into what I do now, but I need a couple more bars so I don't have to constantly switch weights. Yep, I new to this as I've never been much of a weight lifter before (started late last year). Here's the current routine:

Mon,Wed,Fri:

(Using same weight for all)
1 set Concentration curls
1 set Single arm row
1 set Front raises

+ 1 rest period

X 4

Once I can do 10 for each set comfortably, I increase weight 2.5Kilo (5.5lbs)

Tues, Thurs:

HIIT Jumping Jacks or Run/walking
Half squats x 4 sets

Sat,Sun:

No intense exercise

P90x ... and it hurts. :D

I've thought of getting that program. Like they say, no pain no gain! ;)

I've decided to set aside the running shoes for now and step into some tap shoes. Got the tap dvd today, just waiting for my shoes to arrive. I also pedal for a half hour on my exercise bike first thing in the morning.

I'm a runner and I usually run three times a week and a go to a spinning class three times a week. While I'm waiting for the class I lift weights. I'm recovering from a marathon that I ran this past Sunday so I only ran three miles today. I didn't have any pain, I was just downright exhausted while running.

I don't think of my exercise routine as "working out". That phrase conjurs up images of gyms, sweating, weights, etc. None of which apply to what I do lol.

I ride my indoor bike 5 miles a day, 7 days a week (I take a night off maybe once every week or two). I'd like to up it to 10 miles a day, but frankly, that takes about 30 minutes, and sometimes my schedule is just too squished to do it. But I'm gonna try to do it as often as I can; every weekend at least. Also attempting to incorporate some upper-body stuff while I'm riding (I have a ball that I toss up and catch, or stretch over my head, for example). Just have to make sure I don't lose my balance and go ka-boom :sorry:

Lately I've just started eating healthier and less than usual (and no not an unhealthy amount of less :p) and also I work out 30 mins in the morning, 30 mins in the evening just to music.
There was this old video I use to watch until I broke it with a girl also in a wheelchair that I followed along with, I still remember most of the moves so I try to put that into the routine as I go along.

When I have the motivation and time I do something very basic like,

300 Pushups in sets of 50 -> a day off, 300 sit-ups in set of 50-> a day off, 300 pull ups in sets of 30 -> a day off.

I also go on long jogs (5-10 miles)

Sometimes I just dont have the time though.. like atm I'm preparing for exams and I walk like 5miles and up every work day too, so sometimes anything extra just doesn't fit into schedule.

I have what Jeff has too. ^_^ I guess I "asked for it" since I was researching ab exercises a few days ago--bronchitis was not on my google hit though :sorry:.

Has anyone ever heard of Abdonda? Abdonda Official Website

If anyone has any feedback on that Abdonda thing I would appreciate it. My hubby wants to start px90 and I am worried about him since he is not in the greatest shape ATM. I got the impression the Abdonda stuff was for women only, but how can a man not benefit if women benefit??

I run in place on an exercise trampoline for 17 min a day while using 2 lb weights for upper body exercises. Then I do several stretches and some unique tummy style crunches and at nights I lift 5 lb weights in the same exercises for upper body.

Today my workout consisted of crunches (intermediate and basic) and back exercises (one without and one with dumbbells). Then I used my weights (still dumbbells) for chest, bicep, tricep, and shoulder exercises. No weights needed for my butt/thigh exercises or my leg exercises (I'd love to be able to use weights for leg exercises, but I don't have ankle weights and I'm not a fan of them. Weight machines in gyms are what I really like for leg exercises).

Today the weather didn't allow for a trail workout, but I'm looking forward to checking out the trail near my new home.

I have the new Wii active game sitting in a box over in the corner. I had a free membership to the Y but it just expired. Maybe I should go ahead and open the box?

I'm doing a 5K in 2 weeks but I will mostly walk. I trained for it somewhat but missed a bunch of days due to family illness, and then just gave up.

I've changed my workout over the last few months. Here is what it is now:

Mon, Wed, Fri

Wide arm, 2 second down,2 second up pushups
Concentration curls
Dumbbell dead lifts
Front raises
Single arm rows

3 sets each only - with 15-20sec rest between each set. Aside from the pushups (obviously) and Concentration curls (error in form I think) - I've been able to increase the weight every 2 weeks for the rest of them.
