  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Post until I get back from an appoint and other things...

I am glad I sought out that post. I just about missed it.

I live in the southwest (to Americans that would be Northwest) It rains a lot! When I was a child it rained all summer. That was more than 40 days and 40 nights. Before I left for summer holidays our Sunday school teacher had started the story of Noah. I heard about the rain and how God flooded the earth in 40 days and 40 nights. But I did not hear the promise.
When summer was over, I could not stop crying until I went back to Sunday School and the teacher finished the story for me.

That was the start of me using the username of rainbowpromise.
