My daughter in law was brought up in a Baptist church. They go to one now. She went a couple of times to the other Lutheran church I was going to. I think she thought it was a little to different.

The party was supposed to be a community party where everyone was invited in the community..

That is good, our church does the same thing.
It is a good way to serve the community.

They are a little different I think in some of their doctrines..

They try to do stuff like that, the picnic they had while back was in a housing project for the people in the housing project.

Yep. The Lutheran church does more of a liturgy type of service like the Catholic church, too.

That is great that they are active in the community like that.
It introduces people to church that have not been in a while
or not ever been...It's a great ministry.

It does, even if people don't come to that church, it may get them started going to another church.

Yes, that's what I found when I went.
I was raised Baptist, but kind of started wandering when
I got older. I really started praying to God to lead me where
He wanted me to be and He lead me to Fellowship Baptist.
He has not laid it on my heart to change.

That is what our church does. I like both services....

I've had to explain to people before that thought they were just like the catholic church that there are things they don't believe in that the Catholic church believes in..

Yes that is what makes our denominations different.
But there are so many things we share too.

I don't have problem going to other churchs. I've went to church with my mother in law before , she goes to a baptist church, I've been to a church of christ a few times and a methodist church, and a Catholic healing service.
