I do love cats and so does my wife. But...I think we need a few more dogs in here to sort of balance things out a bit lol. God bless.

Also, and this is a little off topic so if you want to respond maybe pm would be the way to go, but we are going to start feeding birds. We live in NC and have a bird feeder but have heard that you have to do it a certain way so the squirrels don't get all the feed, have heard that some feeds are better than others, and also are wondering if we should also get one of those things that hold water where they can take a drink?

I have NEVER found a bird feeder the squirrels couldn't get into, LOL. I keep hearing they are out there, and also little tricks like putting Vaseline around the top so the squirrels slide off, but I have yet to see anything work

My cats jump off the roof and eat birds,thats why I wont get bird feeders or bird bath.

Here's my Bird feeder. It used to hand on a hook but the squirrles were able to jump on it. Now I raised it and attached it to a 3 inch pipe so they can't climb. So far so good. You can't see it in the photo but that plastic piece on the bottom is eaten away from the squirrels when the feeder used to hang.

My darling cat passed away today. I am so sad. Had her since I was 12. She lived a good long life but the pain I feel is still awful. Was totally unprepared when she went for tests today. It would have been cruel to try and keep her going. The goodbye was perfect. She even purred which she never does at the vets.

I am SO sorry for your loss and my heart completely goes out to you I have been through this and I know the pain and shock that comes with it. I hope the perfect goodbye brings some comfort. Our pets know when the time has come, and her purrs for you were, I think, an indication of her thanking you for doing right by her and her life-long love for you. I'm just so sorry. *big hugs*

Thanks. Very heartbroken right now but I know the right thing was done.

This morning hurt more than yesterday. She usually jumps on me when I wake up. It was hard not having that. Wish I had known yesterday would be the last time.

My baby just got spayed.. part of me is sorry she's probably in pain, part of me is thinking "How lucky she is to be able to get fixed so easily, where humans can't do the same"

She's taking it very well. See how happy she is to be sterile?!
