Post a picture with under 100 posts.

I was recently asked how the winner of the Christmas challenge could have submitted with under 100 posts, and I must apologize that the FAQ wasn't entirely clear on this. In this forum only, ANY member may post an attachment as a reply to a message. One easy way to start your own thread with pictures is to start the thread and then reply to it with the picture (as the pictures won't be allowed in the original post).

Anyway, each forum has potentially different permissions for adding attachments, so there's no guarentee that this will work everywhere, but to be clear, any member may post pictures in the photography forum (regardless of post count) as long as they are replying to an existing thread.

I tried to post to a photo thread without an attachment and it said I couldn't post there until I had 100 posts. I now have 100 posts! Now I don't need to post there anymore, because I forgot what I was going to say, anyway.

If there was no attachment, and I was only going to compliment the person's picture of her backyard, it doesn't seem like there should have been a problem.

Yeah, once again, you won't be able to post a THREAD with an attachment in it. However, you SHOULD be able to reply to any thread (even your own) with an attachment.

lol -- well, either you go to "go advanced" or "reply" and manage attachments to upload pictures off of your hard drive (they show up as thumbnails) or you can use the [ IMG] tags. Actually even after you've uploaded pictures, they are effectively hosted at CF (you do have a limit though) and you can use the [ IMG] tags.

Just write (without spaces in the square brackets) [ IMG]http://www.thisismypicture.com[ /IMG] and it'll show up as in your signature.
