Hello all

I'm not a gamer, but I have a game related type of question. I'm a non-techie kind of person so I thought I'd try my luck here.

My nephew has an xbox, and he downloads music from cd's onto the xbox to listen to while he's playing games. Some of the music I really like, and would like to copy back to a cd.... is that possible?? To transfer music FROM the xbox TO a cd??

Thanks for any answers :)

The Xbox is not a CD burner, so that'd probably be a no. I believe the 360 can work with USB storage devices so you could transfer the files to that and then to a computer with a CD burner. Otherwise, I think not.

Okay, so if you could just decode what you just said :D

What is a 360, and what is a USB storage device?

A 360 is an Xbox 360, the newest game system. If your system is black, then you have a standard Xbox. If it is white, then you have a 360.

A USB storage device is also known as a flash drive or USB stick. They're like CDs or floppy disks in that you can put data on them and delete the data later. However, I'm pretty sure only the Xbox 360 has USB ports which you need to use a flash drive.

So if you have a standard Xbox, then I don't think you can transfer them back to CDs. If you have a 360, then you might stand a chance, but I'm not an expert on how 360s work.

Microsoft developed the 360 to be able to hook up to any windows media center PC. In essence you could look at it as an extension of you computer. So with the 360 while you can't burn games you can transfer them to your computer and such.
