Hello,
So here is my prayer. My husband and I have been pastoring now for 3 years here in Northern New York in an amazing church network. As a network we have walked through so much and have truly become an amazing family! A door has opened for us to go back home to Missouri and pastor a church in our home town (Which has been a desire of ours off an on since he left the Army a few years back). We understand that if we do this we are giving up pretty much everything we have been working towards the past 3 years. Our Careers (I work a secular job as well as Pastoral work), Connections we have made here with so many pastors, as well as everything we have built up here in NNY, and more.

They (the church we sent our resume too) are going to decide on Saturday if we will get a chance to try out or not. My husband and I feel total peace about this and we both feel like God is opening this door, but we want it to be God, not us. We understand that If we leave it may put our current church in a not great disposition since my husband and I do both Pastoring and Worship, (we are growing after a small church split, and things are going wonderful), but we have felt lately that there is a season of transitioning that will take place (God revealed to us a year ago that in 12 months things would be shifting/changing. We did not know what that meant but we kept it in our hearts and waiting for God).Other pastors in the church, they feel the same transition is about to take place, even though we have not spoken to them about this possibility of us leaving. So Please keep us in prayer as God reveals what his plan is. I am trying not to get my hopes up but it is hard since I haven't had any doubt now since we decided this decision (which is rare, with any decisions we've had its always been my husband and I were on different pages). Thank you family!! God Bless

So we heard a response this evening. They are going to be interviewing us and another couple as well, so we made the final cut for interviews. Please keep us in prayer as we move forward with this possible transitioning.

Hello Everyone!! So here is are most recent update. We had our initial interview and q & a with the congregation. We were also able to meet with their advisory board and talk about the position. All in all things went awesome! God moved in the two services we preached and we saw several people be set free from bondage. It was awesome. So many people have told us God has given confirmation that we will be the next pastors. The final decision will be this Sunday. The church will vote with the Bishop and then he will make the final decision. Please keep us in prayers that we can be right with God when the final decision when it happens regardless if we get this position or not. God seems to be closing the doors in our current congregation too, where several of our Pastoral staff agree that there is not a whole lot more we can do in our current church (it seems my congregation does not want to be receptive anymore and that they are content with doing nothing besides listening... outreach ministry for them doesn't matter which is not what my husband and I's ministry strives for.). Anyways...Keep us in prayers as we close doors that need to be closed and go through doors that are opening. Love you all!!

ANOTHER UPDATE*
After 2 months of interviews, prayers, road trips and all that goes with the process of being considered for a church, they offered us the job last Sunday and we accepted!! We will start at our new church the first Sunday in March. This is very exciting for all of us! Both our children are excited to be closer to family and my husband and I are excited that we get to fellowship and worship with this new family.

We understand though that the next few weeks are going to be very long and tedious since we now have to make sure everything goes as smooth as possible as we tell our current church family that we are leaving as well as making sure we don't leave any holes in leadership before we leave (we still care very deeply for our current church family so we don't want to leave them in a position where they cannot function regularly once we leave). Thank you so much for the prayers everyone. It has been greatly appreciated!! Please keep us in prayer as we move too. It's over a 1000 mile trip for us and with younger kiddos and moving it can be long and stressful. God Bless and thank you all!!
