Possible Fix for Christianity and World Religions

Ack! I didn't know it had been closed. It's one of my favorite forums on CF. I missed the announcement of the closure -- is the closure permanent, or temporary, and was there a statement of the reason for the closure?

I strongly support a hidden C&WR forum, if that's the only way C&WR can exist.

Here is the announcement. It seems to me that hiding the forum from all but people who request access might resolve concerns that CF is providing a soapbox for non-Christians to lead people astray. Of course the staff have the right to do whatever they think is best for CF. Just suggesting this in case nobody considered it.

This thread is now closed. If anyone wishes to discuss the reasons C&WR was closed, or make suggestions I welcome you to open a ticket in the Support Center.

The reality is that this is a Christian forum, and it's aim is to help Christians. Christians that are questioning their faith are of course welcome and encouraged to post in the appropriate forum. Christians that wish to discuss matters of faith, religion, social issues, etc. all have a place on the forums.

Over time the internet and forums like this have evolved, there are many places that people can promote their points of view or discuss things that are not related to Christianity in particular. There are places that they can promote their religions, where people can ask questions about their religion. This is that place for Christianity. This is not that place for other religions.

The primary issue with the C&WR forum is that it did not facilitate the mission of the forum - to encourage Christian behavior, facilitate discussions that uphold Christian principles, and grow understanding and charity between members.

The C&WR forum is closed permanently, not temporarily.​
