  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

You can get around it by downloading the picture to your computer, and then uploading it to your message.

Or, people can just click "reply" on the message to see the image.

I like to use my flickr account but...

I have seen the attitude on here many times with evolutionists
and in other types of debates, mostly dealing with science or
philosophy.

It looked that way from the way I read the post and your response
to it.

If you say you didn't mean it that way, then I am sorry for getting
the wrong idea and apologize for the misunderstanding.

Keep in mind, most people willing to talk about evolution on a scientific basis are biologists. And if one doesn't have a good understanding of the theory and the nature of heredity, then one is probably going to see some negative comments.

As Michael Behe points out, evolutionary origins are not necessarily incompatible with creative design. Indeed, ID Michael Denton points out that entirely natural processes are not incompatible with creative design. So that's out.

But somehow, the God of the Bible is not allowed in some of their theorizing. Wonder why???

Science is limited to the physical universe. If you want to believe that the Flying Spaghetti Monster created all things with his noodley appendage, making it look as though it emerged naturally, science can neither confirm nor deny it.
