Am always wary of any such movement that replaces the Scriptures of the Bible with the opinions of man. We see it all around us, and this seems to be an organized effort to replace God with an image made like unto fallen man.

Thanks for letting us in on this, as the actual efforts of people these days get muddled into the fabric of "...everyone that nameth the name of Christ..." In this, they are given credence as Christians, though they may reject most or all of what the scriptures state as actually being characteristic of such a person. (II Tim.2:19)

Normally, I REALLY hate articles like that, they are typically full of crap. However that article was spot on. I think that there are MANY churches today that call themselves "Christian" but they are not. They don't confront sin and they only talk about the "positive" attributes of god. Well, thats not GOD, and certainly not my god, when my god shows up I realize how broken I am, and how much I need him for everything, in every step, I need something much more powerful than a fistful of money. I need him.

There needs to be balance in our church message. If our pastors would just preach through the whole Bible we would get that balance. Sin would be confronted and there would also be a positive message.

Yes, this is true, and it is why we have had difficulty finding a good Church for over 30 years.

Too many times, they seek to appeal to the world, and not obey the LORD. If there are fewer being saved, it is NOT marketing that will bring people truly interested in serving the LORD (else there would MORE.) It must then be that someone is making it rich, and the money needs to flow to maintain that...

I have been astounded by the extent to which people will go to depart from the truth in order to attract the world. How would they help anyone that way?
