To many doctrines of men, pulling a scripture out, and just plain lack of study or not following the study far enoughThen why all the "confusion" on it?

Tower of Bable
And there is the rub, you will never never understand the New unless you understand the Old. What do you think that Paul and all the rest had to go by? What is in the New is backed up in the Old.
I am all ears..lets see it..
Show me where paul wanted moses rebuilt, or nationalism, or..anything..
Never said that. What I did say is that God said certain things concerning things we consider Jewisdh and they are not, they are Gods.I am all ears..lets see it..

We see Law before this. God telling Adam in the garden is one. Ever wonder why Canaan was cursed for uncovering his fathers nakedness and the other two were blessed for their actions? Seems to me that there was law there. How about when they got off the ark and clean animals were sacrificed? I think that there was law there as well otherwise why would Noah waste good food? No Law has been around since the beginning.Yes. Many say that the law was for the Jews. Do you think that is what God would have been thinking. Wouldn't God have said that the law is for my people (who were the Jews at that time). If God said that the law is eternal then it doesn't depend on the existence of the Jews. The entire them of the bible was the redemption of mankind and the bible places emphasis on God's plan to save mankind. The OT focuses on the nation of Israel allot because they were the vehicle God wanted to use to bring the world to him but they failed. That is why we are not given detail about anything else. Abraham's life got a bit of focus and that is because he was important in the birth of Israel. Esau and Ishmael never got much focus because they were insignificant in forming a people God was to use to bring the world to him. The first time God really had Israel in one place as a separate people was after they came from Egypt and then he gave them the law. Did God give Abraham laws and commandments? Sure he did but that was not focused on. Are we to assume Abraham didn't know any of the commandments. I really don't see God resting on the seventh day, blessing and sanctifying it and telling no one until the children of Israel came on the scene. Do you think that was the case Frogster?

Absolutely! This tyheology that we are to sit back and let God arbitrarily do things makes no sense. God will if we will, that is a covenant. God expects us to grow in faith and wisdom according to scripture and to use it. We are to fight a good fight. We are to confess our sins, we are to be able to enter boldly into the throne room, but all this is dependant on us being in Christ. There is a difference between asking Christ into us at salvation and getting rid of self to allow us to be in Christ.True. Noah was to take the clean animals into the ark by the sevens and the unclean by 2. We are not told God telling Noah how to distinguish, which goes back to the point that before Israel came along the bible doesn't focus on any exact laws that were given before. But reasoning and common sense tells us that there must have been laws existing. Cain must have know that killing Abel was a sin. Noah must have somehow known which animals were clean and which were not.
The first law even recorded was God telling Adam and Even not to eat of the fruit of the tree of knowledge, good and evil. Ever wondered why God had to put such a tree in the garden and tell them not to eat of it. Doesn't that tell us that God expects something from us.

What did God say? You seem to leave that out. He said they wiould be celebrated eternally and we even see the one feast in the millenial, did God not mean what He said or is prophecy wrong? You keep ignoring all these things. By the way, the law is not passed away but rather fulfilled. We have a better sacrifice and if we are in Christ the Law is written on our hearts but how abiout those that are not in Christ? What are they under I wonder. It was jewish, hence circumcision. Were the gentiles a part of it?
11 Therefore remember that at one time you Gentiles in the flesh, called the uncircumcision by what is called the circumcision, which is made in the flesh by hands 12 remember that you were at that time separated from Christ, alienated from the commonwealth of Israel and strangers to the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world.

I know many church folks who are not led by the spirit so tell me what are they under and then lets move on as this is getting oldAre we under Moses?
14 For sin will have no dominion over you, since you are not under law but under grace
18 But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law.

This is tiresome. Are they Gods feast days or Jewish?
