  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Hey, I have noticed that there isn't a thread of this Texas band at the moment so here it is.

Basically, this is a 25 piece band, all playing various instruments who dress up in different coloured robes. They play uplifting pop/orchastral music (not worship that I know of) they have been linked to some kind of cult for the robes that they wear but they haven't admitted to worshiping anything.

The lead singer looks a bit weird on stage and at one performance at the end of the song "Hold Me Now" he was being "exalted into the sky (rooftop) and was fluttering his eyelashes at the same time!

I don't know what to think of the bands image but I like their music...

I saw the Spree at Greenbelt a couple of years ago.

They were quite good - their music is definitely happy and uplifting.

I think they are mostly a deliberately produced image. They have worked hard on making sure they look like a cult group who are worshipping and reaching trance-like states through their songs. Sometimes it'd be easy to believe they came out of a 60's drug-induced hallucination. But for the mostpart I think it's all an image, they're just a bunch of musicians who like to play together.
