Poll: Widescreen or Full Frame ?

Are you kidding? WIDESCREEN!! Ten years ago I hated widescreen. It slowly grew on me. Now all of my DVD's are widescreen. I don't know how a true movie buff can watch full screen. It's just not right.

Definitely widescreen. Watching flicks on wds gives it a much grander feel to me. Full screen is ok, but sometimes it feels overwhelming to see the picture blown up.

i think most directors and cinematographors preferred their films to be viewed in the wide screen or letter box format. i wanna see what they want us to see

Uh...widescreen. I'm absolutely irritated when I hear someone complain about widescreen cutting off the picture. It's exactly the opposite, fullscreen stretches the picture to take up the entire length of your television. This totally destroys the OAR of the picture and what the director intended. I feel sorry for all these people that are loading up on fullscreen dvds, within the next 10 years all TVs will be widescreen, so all those people that hate the black bars at the top and bottom of the screen will have 2 black bars on the left and right of their screen.

Widescreen is superb. I don't understand people who complain about the black bars. Since most tvs are black, I don't even notice them. I like being able to actually see all of the picture that you see in the theater.

I dont ever buy DVD's, but I do watch movies on TCM and some 50's and 60's movies are widescreen(i have no idea why some from those decades are and none from any other decade). I prefer seeing that because, i like seeing the full picture.
