Political pressure builds on Biden to strike Iran after US deaths

"The killing of three U.S. troops and wounding of dozens more on Sunday by Iran-backed militants is piling political pressure on President Joe Biden to deal a blow directly against Iran, a move he's been reluctant to do out of fear of igniting a broader war."

The situation brings to mind Joe's previous comments:

Biden says he’s sent a message to Iran with Yemen strikes, calls Houthis a terrorist organization

“I’ve already delivered the message to Iran,” Biden said when asked his message during a tour of a coffee shop in Allentown, Pennsylvania. “They know not to do anything.”

Notice that America and friends always have to be careful of escalation. The Axis of Evil can do whatever it pleases. Why isn't it the other way around?

China is often causing trouble for the Philippines, Vietnam, India, Japan and Taiwan. Russia has everybody afraid of nuclear war. Iran is always causing trouble. North Korea is often causing trouble for South Korea.

Generally, the longer we wait the worse things will get. In the case of Iran and friends, maybe Tehran should start feeling some pain directly.

What one has to do is recognize how we destabilized the world. Do we have a new " Axis of Evil" BRICS nations? They adding members and you have to wonder why this is happening. Do they see something that we are blinded to by our arrogance?

Politically stirring the pot. I was born at night but not last night! To play politics when American lives are lost to me is evil. We have to think of the reason why politicians have the luxury of blaming each other for wars and terrorists for so many years now.

I held this view (not Biden leaving us as sitting ducks) on another thread and after watching a video I had forgotten the difficulty of attacking Iran internally. There is a better solution. Tom Cotton should have said: "we" left our troops as sitting ducks.

"He left our troops as sitting ducks," said Republican U.S. Senator Tom Cotton. "The only answer to these attacks must be devastating military retaliation against Iran's terrorist forces, both in Iran and across the Middle East."

I like the statement "long past" because that includes all Presidents in history who responded to Iranian threats since 1979 and yet here Iran is still doing what they do.

The Republican who leads the U.S. military oversight committee in the House of Representatives, Representative Mike Rogers, also called for action against Tehran.
"It's long past time for President Biden to finally hold the terrorist Iranian regime and their extremist proxies accountable for the attacks they've carried out," Rogers said.

Then you have to question Trump's Ignorance. The consequences are of Presidents in the past which includes him. We have a long history of Iran not playing nice. Pulling out of the Iran nuclear deal was dumb.

"Former President Donald Trump, who hopes to face off against Biden in this year's presidential election, portrayed the attack as a "consequence of Joe Biden's weakness and surrender."

The Houthi rebels have been attacking everyone (except Iran) since the Israeli-Gaza campaign started. It's been the voluntary responsibility of the US since 1800 to keep the sea lanes safe. The US should have been striking the Houthi locations hard from that moment on. We know where they're located, we know where they go, we can track them down. They should not be allowed to pause or catch their breaths without a Hellfire finding them. Waiting until the bloodied our nose and then "retaliating" was dumb.
