It seems common sense and agrees with my own experience that people all want pretty much the same things.

In a past survey I read Democrats and Republicans differed on only 4% of the questions that were asked.

A big factor in that would be the questions asked and how long ago it was, but even in 2007:

"Our most interesting finding is that Republicans and Democrats are much more likely to agree with each other than with economists."

What is the motive?

The media is owned by the very rich and it is pretty obvious they would rather have us fighting each other than fighting them.

So what do we do about it?

I think I have an average understanding of politics even though I haven't read a newspaper since Feb 1988, I would obviously recommend not reading newspapers, but watching the dark web and other intellectual stuff.

The misinformation in the media runs on a multitude of different levels.

First the terminology is all messed around. I'm 20% from the bottom of the income range and I face competition over rental housing and competition over jobs.

Those of us with the most to lose from mass immigration are renters and people in low wage jobs.

The people with the most to gain are owners of rental housing and company owners wanting cheap labor.

So the media classes helping the rich and harming to poor as being on the Left, even though it is clearly on the right. They've crossed over so much of the terminology it's not surprising people are confused and can't understand each other.

So what do we do about it?

Get out of the way and let the world be the world, and let those who want to ply their "christianity" in politics figure out this world is already a dead corpse.

A little harsh I know, but it is what it is. Christ didn't worry about such things, even knowing most of His earlier followers were put to death by the stellar politicians of His day.

Truly, don't worry what this world does, it is evil left and right and up and down, be about the business the Spirit gave you.
