MILLIS — An arrest warrant was issued Friday afternoon for Bryan Johnson, the part-time Millis police officer who allegedly fabricated an account of being shot at by a white man in a red pickup truck earlier this week, officials said.

Acting Millis Police Chief William Dwyer, who identified Johnson, said his department applied for four charges in court: misleading a criminal investigation, communicating false information to emergency services, malicious destruction of property, and unlawful discharge of a firearm.

Chief Dwyer went on to say:
“It’s hard for me personally. Bryan was a friend, and when this is all over, I wish him the best,” Dwyer said in a telephone interview. “But we are not going to allow anyone who violates the public trust or commits a crime to receive special treatment.’’
What on earth would possess someone to do that?
Then again, my hometown had a guy in the VFD who was almost always the first one to the fire. There was a reason for that....
