I want Soul Silver so bad! Jolteon is a cool Pokemon.Yep, I have played/play a few.
I stopped in Soul Silver recently because I wanted a thunderstone for my eevee (before leveling it up) but I have discovered that there is no way to get one until I advance farther in the game.
I guess I can just level it anyway and just use some TMs later... but it's not the same.
I was also playing an online beta version of pokemon recently it was pretty fun even with it crashing a lot. I also miss the ability to just restart my game whenever a pokemon fainted. My pokemon ended up fainting a lot in the online game.
My first game was actually Silver and I loved it. So I'm glad they made Soul Silver. I think I might have collected Jolteon in my older games but I don't remember ever playing with it. I've used other pokemon as my electric type before. I try to balance out my group by having all the types I need for each battle and traveling, and not have to swap out to different pokemon much. But for the online version my strategy changed a bit where I was swapping out and training specific pokemon for each gym battle. But it's just not as good as the real games.I want Soul Silver so bad! Silver has been my favorite since it came out. The GBA games didn't top it in my opinion. My first game was actually Silver and I loved it. So I'm glad they made Soul Silver. The only gba one I played was sapphire I think. But Silver was better, and I believe Crystal was the version that was the first time they remade Silver/Gold but made it have the ability to choose to be a boy or girl character. I had that game too but didn't get as far into it as I had with Silver because it was from what I could tell basically the same game with some good improvements. Soul Silver also has more improvements while retaining all the good stuff, from what I can tell so far.Silver has been my favorite since it came out. The GBA games didn't top it in my opinion.
I've never heard of the online version.
I play them - currently playing Yellow on the 3DS virtual console and loving it. I am looking forward to finding out more about Sun/Moon. Not sure about "Go", i.e. whether it's for me. Not sold on the whole augmented reality thing.
Yeah, the "Go" thing seems kind of gimmicky. I don't think it will catch on for an extended period of time.
Agreed. Same with Miitomo (outside of Japan) I think.
I really hope the NX is good, because I love Nintendo and I don't want them to have to "do a Sega"
It seems real fun and cute, but wondering if I will have time to dedicate to it seriously. It wants you to go explore your city/surroundings, which is cool if you have the ability to do so.Has anyone tried Pokemon Go?

One thing I find super neat is the fact that there are little poke-mart 'pitstops' all over the place. I wonder how they got information for some of them... but it really enhances the whole 'explore your city while catching pokemon' aspect.
If I could spend a day, preferrably with a friend, just cruising around the city and walking through nature, I could see it being a blast.
oh yeah. You get, like, 3 'points' everytime you catch a certain pokemon, and I saw some that needed '100' to evolve... lol. And they aren't interchangeable.. so, my charmander points can only be used on charmander. Etc.Yeah, it is an interesting concept. I heard it might take quite a bit of time, since apparently you have to catch 15 of some Pokemon in order to evolve them. Not sure if that's true. Although I bet you could pay to speed things up, just like most phone games.
They did a good job fleshing out the exploring part, I think..Those pit stops sound interesting, hopefully it makes it more fun to explore.
It does seem like the type of thing that would be fun to do with friends (or "rivals"). Might also some add fun to normal walks with the dogs haha.
It's not released in Canada yet, so I haven't had the chance to try it. You Americans are lucky...haha.
The main Pokemon games are RPG where you battle wild Pokemon and trainers while also developing strategies on how to beat them and trying to level up your Pokemon and trying to catch 'em all. Then there's the spin-offs where some of it is basically battle arenas where you can choose from a variety of Pokemon to battle against with a friend and it's more competitive but it's different from the main games.I've never been able to get into Pokemon. Is it an RPG or more of a battle arena?
