They can't tell who you voted for... but they CAN get the information about IF you voted or not.

Yep, your vote is private but the fact that you voted is recorded. That's one of the reasons you have people there when you go to vote and you tell them your name. Other's so they know you voted and you can't vote again.

Bridget... if you do that to telemarketers... you really have too much time on your hands. A simple, "Remove me from your list, goodbye" and then hang up is all that I bother with...

What really annoys me about telemarketers... they call ANYTIME! 0300, 1500, 2100, doesn't matter to these people,

Another nasty trick... ask them to call you back at some number in the Caribbean- works, since they use the same 1-xxx-xxx-xxxx system we do. Costs them a fortune if they do it!

Yeah, me too. I don't tend to do that. Just "take me off your list" or "you've got the wrong number." Sometimes the people are nice enough you can talk for a few seconds and they'll make sure they don't bother you again.

Sometimes I feel like I'm about ready to repeat myself here (and sometimes in other forums, I really have to repeat myself), so I can hardly wait to go to that National Youth Worker's Convention. Hmm. . .I've gotta give some consideration to what cajuns really DO say, though. . .

(If you haven't already figured out, I have a strange mix of culture being raised Lutheran in a cajun area and then getting know some people of a few different cultures in school - and being part Lithuanian, too.)

Hey, we're having a party this Saturday. You guys are all welcome (you too Susan, I know you pop in here from time to time). There will be plenty of beer. Hope you don't mind Anheuser Busch products. It's the most reasonably priced beer that I can get in bulk, that isn't too gross. I'll have Bacardi O, or something like that for our non-beer drinkers (I know who you are ).
