Yep, your vote is private but the fact that you voted is recorded. That's one of the reasons you have people there when you go to vote and you tell them your name. Other's so they know you voted and you can't vote again.SLStrohkirch said:What I would like to know is if your vote is supposed to be private then how do they know your voting record?
Bridget... if you do that to telemarketers... you really have too much time on your hands. A simple, "Remove me from your list, goodbye" and then hang up is all that I bother with...
What really annoys me about telemarketers... they call ANYTIME! 0300, 1500, 2100, doesn't matter to these people,Zoomer said:
I just quietly give the phone to my 2 year old son. He'll talk for hours.
Yeah, me too. I don't tend to do that. Just "take me off your list" or "you've got the wrong number." Sometimes the people are nice enough you can talk for a few seconds and they'll make sure they don't bother you again.LuxPerpetua said:Hmmm. I'm wondering about the ethical nature of these "phone tricks" ...![]()
That just begs for the question "then how did MCI call?" to be asked.Phoebe said:When MCI called a co- worker, he just told them he didn't have a phone. The caller apologized and hung up.
Sorry, "uff da" does not compute. . .LOL j/kDanHead said:Bridget,
