it's 5pm, now, but still, plenty of prayers for that baby!

While waiting for two hours at my church (for somebody that never came. . .irritating. . .but. . .I'm okay, so no harm done, no worries), I was reading a book I had picked up yesterday while waiting.

It's called "Saved by the Light." So far, it's been quite odd. There was a part of it that I really didn't like because of what is happening in the world. Often, there are mentions of these computer chips that will be put into people's skin. It mentioned these and more that they could even be used to kill people. You'd have to read to understand - it's about a guy who died when struck by lightning.

Anyway, there were parts I liked - such as the message that we are spiritual beings, but others I didn't. Things such as "religion doesn't matter." I understand to a point, but it didn't seem to that point in the book.

Okay, whatever. . .I just had to get that out of my system.

No news yet about baby Jesse's surgery. Our congregations uses email quite effectively. So, as soon as the communication lady knows anything, we will all get the news.

It's been cold here in Georgia, too...most of the week I have had to wear a jacket in the mornings and evenings. We had frost one morning already! I hate it when I have to put away the sandals for the winter...I think we are there.

Our wether is alittle warmer thnaverage right now. I chill rather easily. The nice thing about this weather is that you can keep your pop (soda) cold by setting it outside. It comes in handy when entertaining a large group of people. We had 34 kids at the lock in.

It was cold for Louisiana today. I wore shorts Thursday and by now, there's no way I'd be wearing shorts!

Setting off bug bombs in the house did not get rid of the rats. In fact, one scared me as it jumped down and hit my shirt the other night.

I need to take a shower. I finally can since my dad is no longer working on the bathtub! Yay!

Yep, they live in our bathroom/closet across from the bathroom. They came in when our landlord started working on the bathroom. They used to be outside. We're still trying to figure out how to get rid of them!

We had rats in our shed & garage ... they moved in when the neighbors dumped their swimming pool and flooded the rats out of their yard...They're smart critters. Used to steal the peanut butter from the traps without sprining them.
