  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

At www.eldanore.com they have a hard copy booklet that they print out about every 2 months called Elves of Camelot. They accept original poems stories and artwork. However, since they have only released issue #2, they can't afford to pay people for their stuff. Check it out and see what you think.

Hope that helps.

Angels forever said:
I write poems and i would love to get them published but i dont know of anywhere that publishs poems. I have tried to write stories as they are easier to get published but they never turn out as good as my poems do

So can anyone help me please????????????

Question: how much contemporary poetry do you read? There's an awful lot too many people who "write poetry" who never crack the spine of a book of contemporary poetry.

If you do read, look in the Acknowledgements page of the last collection you read and liked. There will be a list of poetry magazines there. Google the names of these magazines, find out their addresses and order some copies. Read the magazines, find out if you like what they publish, then send no more than six poems to each one. Not forgetting the stamped addressed envelope that will ensure that you will at least be read. Don't expect more than a copy of the magazine, payment is a bonus, but don't ever pay for publication. Ever.

If you don't read any poetry by a living person, don't bother sending anyone anything. People who don't read don't learn.
