Poem: Zombies

[Emli]

The world is dying,
It is rotting around me,
Zombies are roaming,
Everywhere.

There is no life within them,
Dead men walking,
In darkness.

They don't know where they are going.

"We don't want life,
We want to stay dead!
There is nothing for us,
In Christ!"

"Leave us alone,
We will dwell in darkness,
Forever!"

They don't know where they are going.

They are coming towards me,
To devour my flesh,
But the Spirit keeps me alive,
In Him.

He shines His Light,
And the zombies flee,
From Him.

They don't know where they are going.

Jesus is the Way,
The Truth and the Life,
And the cure for their
Disease.

If He can reach them,
And touch their hearts,
I hope His life will renew them.

To save them from where they are going.

I must say first, Emli. This poem made me laugh in some parts of it, as I picture them the way zombies are pictured in movies.

But I also understand what you mean, those who don't have Jesus Christ within them are seen as dead, as He is the One who gives us "Life".

It is a very creatively written poem, yet I got also the seriousness over it as well.
