I've not really listened to Plumb that much, but to say that they are a "Fake Evanescence" may be going a little to far. I thought that they (Evanescence) sounded neat at first, but then I began listening to the words of their songs. They are really sad and not uplifting at all. I see and hear enough sad things already.

Well, considering Plumb (as a band) started recording music in the mid 90s (remember "Damaged", even though that's from '99?), I wouldn't say it's a ripoff of Evanescence. Yes, this is more dramatic than "Damaged" was, but it's not something I wouldn't expect.

If you don't remember the original, you might remember the dance cover of "Damaged" recorded by Plummet (real original, I know), which was popular on the mainstream charts back in 2001/2.

I think she's supposed to sound that way, like the desperation you get when you know you need God to help you. I think the way she sings it drives home the point of the song.

Who knows, maybe the wording of the word can't could be hinting at the fact we need to know it's God working in us, and what do we have that we didn't recieve from Him.Like when we think its us its Him anyway, and then when we realize we have nothing in ourselves- that is when He can really do something.

As for plumb, I have heard them several time, pretty cool. I like! But i will admit to similarities between the two?

You have got to , it is unmissable, however as you said, I wouldnt quite say Plumb took inspiration from Evanescence.

Listening to the Plumb song while typing this, and actually, i really like it ! V

considering Evanescence was playing the Christian Camp/church scene before they sold out to the devil, chances of them hearing a Plumb record was pretty good...who's ripping off who here???

The song [I can't do This]is copying Evanescence. I don't think that her other stuff sounds like them.
Now I think Eowyn got her inspiration from Evanescence. If you don't believe me, listen to her stuff yourself!
