"Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore."
[Psalm 16:11]

For evermore? For real?
Is that like, more than a billion years?
Is it like... more than a trillion years?
How long is for evermore?
It can't be more than a quintillion years, can it? That's a billion times a billion years!
Would God really have THAT much pleasure available for us? Can that really be true?

Well if all this is true, about the pleasures of God being for evermore, then God is a most amazing God.
He deserves to be glorified from all the ends of the earth.

Our JOY knows no bounds!!

Pretty crazy isn't it?

I love how a dear Brother once put it: "I believe God doesn't let us comprehend how awesome and incredible being in heaven with Him will be like. Simply because,if we did,we'd all probably run outside and jump in front of the next vehicle passing by."

-Your Brother In Christ

EDIT:By "pretty crazy,isn't it?" I didn't mean the idea is absurd,I was being sarcastic. I meant "Pretty amazing isn't it?

Pleasures for evermore. Let me see if I can comprehend this thing.
Imagine the number of stars in the entire milky way galaxy.
Now imagine the number of molecules in the entire milky way galaxy.
If each molecule represented a thousand years of Godly pleasure, how much pleasure would that be?
Yet that doesn't even begin to describe the infinite scope of pleasures for evermore.

Who is this God, that he is so rich in pleasure? Who is this God that he is so infinitely abundant?
And what is the value of man's works compared to this amazing paradise?
No wonder the Bible says our righteousness is as filthy rags!
What kind of God would give us such a ridiculously large amount of pleasure to limited creatures such as ourselves?
What kind of payment did God make in order to make this infinite treasure freely available to us?
He had to have made an infinite sacrifice. He had to have sacrificed... Himself.

We can't comprehend it, it deals with eternity.

Let me give you an example, .999... or .9 repeating indefinitely equals one. It does, but most will say it almost equals one.

1/3 as a decimal is .3 repeating (...)
2/3 as a decimal is .6...

1/3+2/3=.9... or 1

X=.9...
10x=9.9...
10x-1x=9.9...-.9...
9x=9
x=1

And you thought you weren't going to do algebra today. Again it's only used to show we have a hard time grasping eternity issues.

An infinite number of decimal places.
Irrational numbers are even more amazing.

I know sometimes I think about them while I'm eating some apple pi.

On the subject of pie, did you know that if a pie is infinite in mass, a slice of it would weigh just the same as the pie? The infinite pie is greater than the slice, but at the same time they're equal.
Only with infinity can this be achieved.

That's why Jesus and the God are one, even though he came from the God.
It's only true because God is infinite.
