In fact, when the British missionary James Hudson Taylor founded the China Inland Mission , he emphasized that the western missionaries should not hinder the common goal of evangelizing the Chinese people for the sake of the differences in sectarian ideas.

Thank you especially for this, personally if someone has an acceptance of personal responsibilty for sin, based on Genesis and believes the Gospel, that is pretty much salvation covered. I am loving the broad community in this place. I dread to think what sort of squabbling was happening in China that caused James Hudson Taylor to make his comment there.

I have read the Chinese version of Taylor's biography. There was indeed a risk of division in China Inland Mission due to sectarian beliefs. For example, how to view baptism may lead to division. Taylor resolved the danger of division. Taylor dressed on Qing Dynasty clothing, wearing fake braids, and demanded that all members of China Inland MIssion dress up like this. This move had attracted a lot of criticism. Someone asked him why did we British civilized people dress up like barbarians. Taylor hoped to eliminate the misunderstanding of "foreign religion" among Chinese people, and a Chinese Christian can also retain reasonable local culture.
