I have been dating a girl with a bad temper for almost 2 months now and it's driving me insane. I am afraid to even speak around her a lot of the time because I think she's going to blow up on me. This is ridiculous... I shouldn't feel like I am walking on thin ice all the time!

I feel like I am caught up in the cycle of violence... things are fine... then tension builds.. and then she blows up on me.... then she apologizes... and then (like an idiot) I forgive her. This is insanity! Now I need to muster up the courage to get up and walk away... and it's hard to do since it's the holiday season and all hahaha.

And the craziest part is that (honestly ) I have been a saint in this relationship! I have been sweet and understanding and very patient. I guess I am growing up. You'd think that if you treated a girl right she'd reciprocate huh? Well, not this one.... this girl's got issues

Kinda reminds me of that Offspring song haha.

Anyway, thanks for letting me vent. Carry on.

PLUS--you can let her hate you even more for dumping her before the Holidays and maybe she'll leave you alone.

Who cares about HOliday season-believe me these psychos are SO much worse around the Holidays-they will make your life a living hell. They are notoriously bad around Holidays, bdays, special occasions. Don't let some dates deter you from doing what is best for you-who cares what's good for her or what she thinks!
Do it dude....this week isn't soon enough.

LOL-you are such a guy-guys alwasy want us to break up w/them...they jsut passively sit there until we go nuts lol-in this case, no passivity (see my above post)...dump her.

Just say look, you have serious anger and temper issues-I don't want that in my life and I don't have to take it. I am moving on and so should you.

And certainly you don't have to get gifts...save that money and do something cool for you and your little guy, kwim?

Yeah... as much as I want her to break up with me, I don't think she will... I think she recognizes that (for now at least) she has somebody who will put up with her crap and she doesn't want to lose that.

Anyway, I think the best thing I can do for this girl is to leave her... otherwise she won't ever learn that you should treat others how you want to be treated.

I mean it's sad when I enjoy my time alone more than I enjoy being with her lol. I go home and I'm like SWEEET!!!!

Tell her why you're breaking up with her and that you do not want to stay in touch -- then ignore her when she has an extinction burst and goes on a calling and/or e-mailing frenzy.
