• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Father, prevent daughter of the king from doing anything to harm herself. Send angels, all of them, mine if necessary, to protect her from herself tonight. She is in some kind of pain. Please send the Comforter to her. I know what it is like to want to kill yourself, and your love is the best remedy. Whatever it takes Lord, keep daughter of the kind from harming herself in any way.

daughter of the king,

Whatever you have done wrong, you must forgive yourself:) We are commanded to forgive, and that includes forgiving ourselves.:) You must also love yourself. YES! We are commanded to love one another, we must learn to love and forgive ourselves the same way Jesus loves and forgives us.

There is always hope for tomorrow, always. You must hold on to that hope, and never let go of it. You're life WILL get better, I can promise you that with all of my heart.

You have to look beyond the problems of today, and begin to trust Jesus with your future. Trust in Jesus, He will get you thru this.

I will pray for you.

Father in the name of Jesus we come to you and Bind the strongman of Heaviness and the spirit of suicidal thoughts as in mark 9. I pray that the spirit of your comforter, garment of praise, oil of joy would be loosed in Jesus name. I pray that the father of the king would put her hope and her trust in you. In Jesus name amen and amen.

Daughter of the King:

I pray to God that you have been eased of whatever pain caused you to make that first post.

Should you EVER, EVER feel that way again, this is what you should do:

#1--Log off the computer immediately.

#2--Look in your phone book for a Suicide Crisis Prevention phone number.

If you don't find one,
#3--Go to ANY hospital emergency room, and tell the triage nurse what you told us.

If you don't have the means to get to a hospital,
#4--Go to ANY fire station, and tell someone there what you told us.

If that isn't possible,
#5--Call 911. Tell the dispatcher what you told us. Stay on the line, follow whatever the dispatcher tells you to do.

Suicide isn't just a "bad mood" that will go away. If you feel so desperate that suicide seems to be the only option available to you, then you are SICK, and you need help. Help IS available. Your crisis may seem overwhelming, but there are caring, compassionate, loving people available who will be able to reach out to you and give you the help you need.

God has given you the precious gift of life. Please, please, do not give it back to Him. Seek help.

And you will always been in our prayers.

Peace be with you,
~VOW

don't let the negative feelings get in your way! don't let it fester! be assured that God looks after His children, and that through struggling time, we can lean onto HIS strength.

In our darkest hour, we sometimes cannot see the light for the blinders we have slowly developed over time.  These blinders, while useful at earlier times to cope with certain circumstances, can smother us in darkness if we are not careful.  Been there, done that, coulda written a book about it.

Believe me, there are more people that care for you (and are willing to help) than you can imagine.  People are there to take your hand and help you out of the darkness.  Please do seek out someone, even if it is someone who has responded to you here.  I know I will do whatever I can.  Also, remember that God is always with you.  You never walk alone when you know God.

this reminds me of the story in acts 16.27-34
the prison master failed in his duty, and hated himself, and wanted to die rather than face what was coming.
he supposed they had all fled but paul cried out HEY! WERE STILL HEAR! the situation was not as bad as he supposed.
and with god, your situation is never run out of hope.
and the man came to god and got saved, and found hope and new life.
he dropped his weapon, and came trembling and fell down before paul and silas, and asked how he could be saved. and thats all anyone ever has to do, to receive from god.
come as you are, broken, afraid, hurt, bruised, to the love of jesus and hell give you hope, and hell take his mighty power and move heavon and earth on your behalf and start a new and prosperous life just for you.

i know you said you were better, but i wanted to encourage you, and offer you some help with your friend.
