I am in desperate need of prayers. I feel bad asking, but I don't know what else to do. It feels like my life is falling apart. I feel so hopeless, scared, and frustrated. I can't take it anymore.

CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

We've all been there at some time or other
in our lives. I just came out of a bad storm
as well..so I can relate. I do know this..
if you put your TOTAL faith and trust in God
he WILL guide you through it all...
no matter how desperate is seems.

That really did help. These feelings never really go away, but sometimes they're not as strong...and that definitely eased my mind a little.

I'll be praying for you, that God would give you peace in the middle of your storm.
Sometimes our life is full of troubles, and wherever we turn we only see pain and hardship. But I PROMISE you, there will come a day when your heart will be full of joy once again. Never give up, and never allow yourself to become hopeless, there is ALWAYS hope for tomorrow, always.

Ive felt like it several times with work and university.
Give it to god he knows where you are at, and he wont put you though what you cant handle. Give it to him and let your faith guide you though it he will take care of you

yes im in the middle of a raging storm, feels like everyones pulling me in diff derections and all i can say is pray and dont lose heart. give it all to him becauseyou cant do it alone hun. keep the faith <------god bless

I just wanted you to know that I am praying for you. I am sure you know this but always remember that God is always with you. He will never leave you or forsake you. He loves you so much. He wants so much to take your pain away but you just have to give it to Him. I know that this is easier said then done. I have been there. I like to say I am giving it to God, but then I grab it right back and become even more frustrated that things are not changing. But He is so ready for me just to hand it back to Him when I have struggled with it long enough.
I am praying. Please feel free to PM me if you need someone to talk with! I will be glad to listen and talk with you.

I definatly know what it is like to go through a storm, it seems that I am going through one storm or another these days. But I do know that God will get me through anything that I go through. I will admit sometimes that my faith wavers. I do try my best to hang on to what faith I have knowing God will get me through. That's all you gotta do just hang on, God WILL get you through it. Remember that God will never give us more than we can bear. He promises us this. Now it might seem like it is too much but I promise and God promises that it is not. I'll be praying for you.

Lord, turn Laura's feelings around. Where she feels fear now, give her hope. Where she feels sadness, give her joy. Where she feels frustration now, give her peace. Bless her with a closer relationship with you because of what she is going through now. Relationships are tested by adversity. Let her come through this loving and trusting you more than ever before. And hurry! Amen.

I just want to thank you all for your prayers and kind words. I'm actually feeling a little better now. God always comes through...I just have to learn to trust Him a little more.

Trusting in him more is a lesson we all have to learn...
and as the old saying goes...wherever you look, you
will find someone in better shape and worse shape
than you are. The important thing it to refocus on your
personal relationship with God and put TOTAL trust
in him...
i.e....from my example:
After 9/11, both of my wives companies went under,
I was laid off shortly after this happened, and try
as I might...couldn't find work ANYWHERE. After
three months, a depleted savings account, and
selling off everything I owned of any value,
I still found myself penniless and looking into
the eyes of three small ones that TOTALLY trusted
in me. My creditors were closing in fast, and I was
on the verge of financial ruin.
After many sleepless nights, It finally occurred to me.
If my children could love me with all their hearts and
totally trust in me with their futures, my Father in heaven
would feel the same towards me as I did towards my
children. I prayed and talked with my heavenly father
daily,,,recommitting my life towards his purpose according
to his scriptures given to us in the bible.
I simply asked him....Father...I feel the same towards my
family as you feel towards yours. I'm not asking for anything
Father other than the chance to simply provide for my family
and teach them your ways through my actions & words.
Very shortly afterwords:
1. I landed a new job (with a nice raise)
2. I avoided bankruptcy and the loss of our home (barely)
3. Through my faith in God, my family was inspired that
he will NEVER abandon his children. He may test us,
he may punish us, as a Father should, but he will ALWAYS
be there for us as we need him.
To me, he is the perfect example of what a true Father should
be.
Stay strong, and trust in him. I REASSURE you their WILL
be a rainbow waiting for you when you come through this
storm.
