That the official registration of the domain CHRISTIANFORUMS.COM continues to be in the name of LeeD. It has not been changed to Mr. Kim or his company.

I hope the new owner will get rid of the "bigoted" policy's that do not allow the so-called "cults" for example to post ANY links to website which might better answer a question when asked, and in relation to mormons for them "not" to be able to call people according to what they are doing, i.e. engaging in anti-mormonism or being an anti or anti-mormon, when NORMAL English this would be perfectly acceptable, anti-abortion, anti-semite, anti-tax, etc.

The mormon is not using it as a "slur" it is being used to describe a particular activity or behavior by a person, that is being anti-mormon or anti-mormonism. Banning the above term and using the term "critic" for example is inappropriate, because most anti-mormons aren't simply "critics", they are people who lie, misrepresent, and degrade our faith and people. Critics are responsible, respectful, and only deal in facts, not the "sensational" fantasy's anti-mormons believe about us.

Over the last year the forum has become less diverse. It used to be a very diverse, very active forum with views from all over the spectrum and the world. Now a large minority seem to be Republicans from the USA. It would be nice to keep the GOPs from the USA, but also get back more of the people from Australia, France, Japan, Korea, Sweden, Germany, New Zealand, and so on and so forth. Also, to get people from all spectrums of the political axis showing up in larger numbers.

In the debate forums (and to a lesser extent in some of the fellowship forums) there has been a loss of the moderates. From rightwing-moderates and conservative-moderates to liberal-moderates and leftwing-moderates, there are many fewer than there used to be. There seem to be more debates taking place between people at the different ends of the spectrum, with only a few voices coming from the centre - in regards to religion, politics, social issues, and so much more!

What will you be doing to make CF more inclusive and more open to honest discussion and once again make it a place to exchange ideas, fellowship, discuss topics with views from around the world, and generally make it once again more of a real global community?

That's because some mods are allowing behaviour that many people feel is way over the line -- so most of those people have voted with their feet and left CF. What remains is people who enjoy shouting matches.

Is there any chance the GA board will perhaps be re-activated by the new owner?

I and a lot of other Christians enjoyed that board and since it "disappeared" I have mainly relegated myself to the GT board and many of the atheists left CF it seems because of that. How do others feel about this? Thanks

I must be the only one who gets a coldness in my heart (a bit of dramatic hyperbole) at the thought of anything technical CF tries to do to their servers or database. I envision days of down-time, weeks of bugs, months of features breaking, and a year later another thread like this one.

sorry i havent been around in the past couple of days. it was my birthday a couple of days ago and took the weekend to celebrate w/ my family and with my in-laws. :D

Hey, Paul.

You must feel a bit awkward as your rep level approaches 74 BILLION. :D

Not bad for someone having less than 100 posts. :D

many good people repping me up :D

Is this mainly a business or an outreach opportunity for you, Paul?

i really do look at this as an opportunity for Christians to connect in a meaningful way. i saw a lot of the traffic numbers and have lurked around in the past couple of years around the forum to see what was going on. this is an incredible place and wanted to be a part of being able to rebuild this place.

Could you tell us a little bit about your faith? Beliefs? Home church? Christian experiences?

i believe in relationship with Christ and knowing him from now till eternity, i believe i was saved about 20 years ago when my father introduced me to Christ, and have been walking and learning to better walk with him ever since. i believe in living in community with other believers and being Christ to the world around me. i have grown up in the church. my father was/is a pastor my whole life. i have served in a myriad of capacities, and currently serve w/ my dad as a teacher for a sunday school.

Over the last year the forum has become less diverse. It used to be a very diverse, very active forum with views from all over the spectrum and the world. for now there will be no policy changes. this site needs to stabilize and be worked on (in terms of features). this community has been through too much over the last year.

:sigh: true, but I'm always hopefull that they'll actually do it the correct way.

1) Backup Database
2) Install Servers & Test, Test, Test, Test, Test,....

this is what is being done...;). we want to make sure that there are as little bugs as possible and that you wont even notice that we changed over. we are at step #4 right now and will be testing it soon.
