  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Dear Child,
As you got up this morning, I watched you, and hoped that you would talk to me ... even if it was just a few words, asking my opinion, or thanking me for something good that happened in your life yesterday. I noticed that you were frustrated trying to find the right outfit to wear to work. I was disappointed that you had to hurry.

I waited. When you ran around the house getting things ready, I knew there would be a few minutes for you to stop and say hello, but you were too busy. At one point , you sat down in a chair. I thought you wanted to talk to me but instead, you went to the phone and called a friend to share the latest gossip.

I watched as you went to work and I waited patiently for you to speak to me. With all your activities, I could see that you did not have time to talk to me.

I observed you at lunchtime. You looked around. Maybe you felt embarrassed to talk to me in public. Possibly, that's why you didn't bow your head.
You glanced three or four tables over, and noticed that some of your friends were talking to me briefly before they ate, but you still didn't spend time with me. That's alright, there's still time left. I'm sure that you will find time to talk to me, yet.

After you arrived home, it seemed as though you had a lot of things to do. After you accomplished several tasks, you sat down and turned on the TV. I don't know if you really enjoy TV or not. You spend a lot of time each day in front of it. Often times you're not really thinking about anything, however; you seem to enjoy it even when you have seen the program before. I waited again, patiently, as you watched TV and at your meal. Again, you made the choice not to talk to me.

At bedtime, I guess you are very tired. After you said goodnight to your family, you plopped into bed and fell asleep in no time.

I understand because you may not realize that I am always there for you. I have more patience than you will ever know. I love you so much that I wait every day for a nod, a prayer or thought, or a thankful part of your heart. It is SO hard to have a one-sided conversation.

Well, you are getting up again, and once again I will wait with nothing but love for you, hoping that today, you will be able to spend some time with me.
Have a wonderful day!
Love,
God

I have a deep sense of gratitude for the loving watchcare of our Saviour over us all. My heart is subdued and broken as I think of my heavenly Father's goodness and love. God has always had a care for His people. He observes the movements of every one. The long-suffering and patience of God is wonderful.

He longs to clasp our hands, to have us look to Him in simple faith, permitting Him to guide us. His heart is open to our griefs, our sorrows, and our trials.

If we keep the heart stayed upon Him and meditate upon His loving-kindness all the day, He will lift the soul above the daily sorrow and perplexity, into a realm of peace.

He watches us in love and sympathy, ready to hear our prayers, and render the assistance which we need in our life-work. His watchcare extends to every household, and encircles every individual; He is concerned in all our business and our sorrows. He marks every tear; He is touched with the feeling of our infirmities.

Who is man that God would be so mindful of him??

Long does justice wait while mercy pleads with the sinner.
